What Boards does

Everyone sees where the work is.

Status, people, dates, timelines, numbers, dropdowns, tags, files, ratings, dependencies and more, plus automatic progress, created-by and item ID columns.

Seven views

Table, kanban, calendar, timeline with dependencies, chart, workload, and a gallery of the board's files. Save filters with and/or groups.

Automations

When an item is created, changes status, reaches a date or is assigned: notify someone, set a value, move it, add a subitem, post to Chat or add a Calendar event.

Updates and mentions

A comment thread on every item with @mentions, an activity log, and a notification inbox that also emails you.

Files and media

Attach Drive files, documents and links. YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Dailymotion, Streamable and Figma links play inside the board.

Projects

A portfolio page, My Work, start and due dates, a project lead, and health updates such as on track or at risk.

Good to know.

  • Eight templates to start from: blank, project tracker, content calendar, bug tracker, sales pipeline, sprint planning, event planning and to-do. Save your own boards as templates too.
  • Viewer, editor and owner roles, private boards, and guests invited by email.
  • Import and export CSV. Imported rows don't set off automations.
  • Subitems go one level deep, and a column's type can't be changed once it's made.
  • Board items can be counted and listed on dashboards in Boards and the CRM.
  • In the SiteSmith app you can work on items, but boards are built on the web.
