SiteSmith

The app builder

Design the apps your team works in.

Rearrange the CRM, Boards, Operations, the Help Desk console and help center, the Dispatch console, and the admin side of Blog, Learn and Store: the pages, the menus, the forms, the documents and the automations. Drag and drop, or start from a template.

What you can design

Pages, menus, forms and documents.

Every app below starts as it always looked. Nothing changes until someone customizes it, and the templates are there to start from.

SiteSmith CRM

About CRM
  • Dashboards and custom pages

Drag tiles onto a 12-column grid: numbers, charts, tables, text, buttons, pictures, embeds and filters. Add pages of your own at /crm/p/your-page.

    10 dashboard templates

  • Top bar and side menu

Links, headings, separators, dropdowns and buttons. A button can open a page or a web address, start a new record, run a command, open a pop-up or start an email. A designed top bar replaces the app's own.

  • New contact, company, deal and task forms

Arrange the fields in sections and choose how each is drawn: dropdown, searchable dropdown, radio buttons, chips, text area or rich text. Custom fields can pick records from any app, narrowed by a filter, and a new contact or company can add people, follow-up tasks or a deal in the same form.

    10 form templates

  • Automations

Multi-step workflows with waits and yes/no branches, started by 16 kinds of event, from a deal moving stage to a contract being signed or a campaign email being clicked.

    10 ready workflows

  • Invoice, quote and contract designs

Lay out the documents your customers receive, block by block, with your logo and colors, on Letter or A4.

    12 document templates

  • Email and notification designs

Design campaign emails, and the notification emails the CRM sends about tasks, assignments, quotes, invoices and contracts.

13 email and 12 notification templates

  • Campaigns, lead forms and assets

Email broadcasts with open and click tracking, one-click unsubscribe, scheduling and test sends. Lead forms on a hosted page or embedded, and an asset library with public links.

    11 lead form templates

  • The customer help center

Every page, the header, the footer, the theme and the request form, previewed at desktop, tablet and phone widths. Changes stay a draft until you publish, and earlier versions can be restored.

10 site and 11 request form templates

SiteSmith Dispatch

About Dispatch

The board, a dashboard, calls, the map, records and pages of your own, the side menu and the top bar, plus the New call and New BOLO forms.

    10 dashboard templates

  • New product and New order forms

Operations admins choose which fields the New product and New order dialogs show, and in what order. Fields left off take the usual defaults.

    10 form templates

SiteSmith Boards

About Boards
  • Boards dashboards and pages

A dashboard, pages of your own, and the side menu and top bar, with tiles for your items, workload, deadlines, projects and hours. Tiles only count the boards the viewer can open.

    10 dashboard templates

  • Storefront designer

Design the pages your shoppers see, with a draft you publish when it's ready.

Pages and menus

Build the screen, then the way around it.

Dashboards and custom pages are made of tiles you drag into place. The top bar and side menu are yours to rebuild too, and a designed top bar replaces the app's own.

Tiles on a 12-column grid

Numbers, charts, tables, text, buttons, pictures, embeds, filters and the app's own live widgets. On a phone the tiles stack.

Seven kinds of chart

Bar, horizontal bar, line, area, donut, pie and stacked, with or without legends, values and grid lines.

Themes and card styles

Pick a theme and a card style: theme, solid, elevated, glass, tinted, gradient or outline.

Menus that do things

Links, headings, separators, one-level dropdowns and buttons. A button opens a page or a web address, starts a new record, runs a command, opens a pop-up or starts an email.

Yours, shared or everyone's

Keep a layout to yourself, share it with the team, or make it the default everyone opens. Each person can pick the layout they use.

Version history

Every layout keeps its last 30 versions, and any of them can be restored.

Tiles drafted by AI, with Workspace+. Say what you want to track, such as “open tickets by priority”, and tiles are drafted onto the page you're editing. The AI sees only the names of the sources and fields, never your records, and nothing is saved until you keep it.

Data from every app

One dashboard for the whole business.

Each app's dashboards read its own records first. People who can read the account's CRM reports can also add numbers, charts and tables from the other apps, and guests never see them.

CRM automations

Chain steps with waits of minutes, hours or days and yes/no branches with and/or conditions. Steps create and assign tasks, move deals, tag people, send email, call a webhook and more.

Starts when

  • A contact is added or changes stage
  • A deal is added, moves stage, is won or lost, or sits idle
  • A task is completed
  • A quote is accepted or declined
  • An invoice is paid
  • A contract is signed
  • A lead form is sent
  • A campaign email is opened, clicked or unsubscribed from
  • On a schedule

10 ready workflows

  • Nurture new leads from forms
  • Welcome new customers
  • Onboard won deals
  • Escalate stalled deals
  • Follow up after support tickets
  • Thank people for orders
  • Call people who click campaign emails
  • Prepare for bookings
  • Weekly review of quiet leads
  • Tidy up after unsubscribes

Documents and emails

Design the invoices, quotes and contracts your customers receive, block by block on Letter or A4, with 12 templates. Design campaign emails from 13 templates, and the CRM's notification emails from 12.

Help Desk

Your customer help center

Design every page, the header, the footer, the theme and the request form, and preview them at desktop, tablet and phone widths, as a visitor or a signed-in customer. Edits stay a draft until you publish, earlier versions can be restored, and unpublishing brings back the standard help center.

Good to know

What it covers today.

  • Customizing works in the CRM, Boards, Operations, the Help Desk agent console and help center, the Dispatch console, and the Workspace admin side of Blog, Learn and Store. The public blogs, schools and stores don't have a designer yet.
  • Who can customize, share layouts and set the default follows each app's own roles and permissions.
  • Designed New forms: contacts, companies, deals and tasks in the CRM, New ticket in Help Desk, New call and New BOLO in Dispatch, and New product and New order in Operations. Boards, Blog, Learn and Store don't have designed forms.
  • The public help center only shows the desk's public details, its knowledge base and a signed-in customer's own requests, never agent data.
  • Record pages (a deal, a board, an order...), the Dispatch unit terminal and management area keep their own layout, and the help center doesn't have pages of your own yet.
  • Menu dropdowns go one level deep.
